Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is the funniest stupid comedy movie there is. I wanted to list it today in case you had a bad week and needed a good mindless laugh this weekend. If you do...this is the movie.

Harold (John Cho) is a nerdy Asian accountant who is desperately in love with his neighbor (Paula Garces). However, he finds himself struck dumb every time he is in her presence even though she gives him subtle hints that she likes him. Harold's roommate is Kumar (Kal Penn) who is an Indian chronic weed smoker who is over confidant in himself. After a hard work day and another blown opportunity with the girl, Harold, needs a break. Kumar suggests they smoke weed to relax. After some weed both Harold and Kumar start to get the munchies. A White Castle commercial comes on the TV and Harold and Kumar decide to go to White Castle to satisfy their hunger. However, all sorts of mayhem ensue prohibiting them from getting to the White Castle and their journey becomes much more than a search for food. They finally overcome all their obstacles and arrive at the White Castle, where Harold and Kumar have the PERFECT meal. Harold even overcomes his fear of talking with his neighbor and sets up a date with her.

Like I said if you need a good mindless laugh check this movie out. If you want something with some depth don't check this movie out.

I admit that I picked this movie tonight because I wanted to talk about Kal Penn in the other information section that I do. Do you guys watch House M.D.? If so, did you see Monday's episode? Well, it is crazy and Kal Penn's character is no longer on the show.

Other Information:
Kal Penn's character Dr. Kutner on House M.D. committed suicide in a daring and moving episode last Monday. The reason for the suicide is because Kal Penn accepted a position in the Obama administration in the Office of Public Relations. Kal campaigned for Obama and I guess he wants to take it further than just talking about the man. He has stated that he is not quiting acting for good he just wanted to pursue this opportunity due to his interest in public service. Courageous in my opinion to give up a lucrative job on a popular show where your character is well liked by viewers to follow a passion for public service.
John Cho is playing Hikaru Sulu in the new Star Trek movie.
Anthony Anderson has the best one liner in this movie. If you want to know what it is, and it is worth knowing, you will have to watch this movie.
Malin Akerman recently starred as Laurie Jupiter in Watchmen. Have you all seen Watchmen? If not I would recommend seeing it.
