I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about Baby Mama. However, it was hilarious!!!!!!!
Baby Mama was directed and written by Michael McCullers. It was produced by Lorne Michaels. Baby Mama stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Greg Kinnear, Romany Malco, Steve Martin, and Sigourney Weaver.
Kate (Tina Fey) is the youngest VP of her company. She had to give up motherhood to do it though. At 37 Kate realizes that she wants a baby. Dating is out of the question so she pursues other fertility options. When those don't work out she has to turn to surrogacy. Of course the surrogate mother is the exact opposite of the successful Kate. Angie (Amy Poehler) is the surrogate. Angie is basically white trash. A ton of comedy surrounds Kate's work life including her boss Barry (Steve Martin). Also, around Angie trying to leave her loser boyfriend Carl (Dax Shepard). And, finally, around the owner of the surrogacy company headed by Chaffee Bicknell (Sigourney Weaver) the much older woman who is ridiculously fertile for her age and profession.
You have to see the movie to appreciate the humor. I totally recommend it though because it is one of the best comedy's I have seen. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did AWESOME! If you haven't seen it, go see it!

Kate: "I'm sorry I called you stupid".
Angie: "I'm sorry I farted in your purse".
Kate: "What if that had been poop".
Caroline: "Poop is messy but its good".
Carl: "I haven't had sex in two weeks".
Angie: "I've been gone for a month".
Barry: "I am going to reward you with 5 minutes of uninterrupted eye contact".
Kate: "Did you just stick your gum under my coffee table?"
Angie: "I don't know."
Kate: "What do you mean you don't know? You think you're at an Arbys right now?"
Angie: "You know what? I WISH I was at an Arbys cuz theres better food and cooler people there!"
Kate: [Kate looks under coffee table and gasps then looks at Angie] "Did you stick all this gum under here?"
Angie: "I DON'T KNOW! Maybe you stuck some of it under there!"
Kate: "Yeah, actually you might be right cuz sometimes when I work a really long day I like to come home and chew a huge wad of bubbilicious gum and stick it under my reclaimed barnwood coffee table!"
Angie: "Bitch, I don't know your life!"

ReplyDeleteI watched it with other people. We were just saying tonight how we wish we hadn't returned it already because we wanted to watch it again. How many times do you want to watch a movie twice in a row? I'm telling you it's good stuff!! Go rent it :-).
